Swimming lessons for children
Vannkanten offers swimming lessons for children and young people at different levels, from water familiarisation to swimming technique. We have experienced instructors, pools heated to 33.5 degrees, and separate changing rooms. The classes are for a maximum of ten children, and are spread over eight sessions, each of which lasts for 30 minutes.
The children must be over five years old and at least 115 cm (3 ft. 9 in.) tall.
Swimming level 1:
For children who are not safe or independent in the water. This class teaches them the basics, such as getting water in their face, rhythmic breathing, floating on their stomach/back independently, and swimming strokes, when they are ready for it.
Swimming level 2:
For children who are safe or independent in the water – they are able to float on their stomach/back independently without floats, breathe rhythmically and are comfortable getting water in their face. This class focuses mainly on swimming strokes.
